Description

Our Bamboo Temple was built with the sacred geometry of the nautilus shell, which is a symbol of internal harmony and the beauty of nature. The spiral traces the journey of life–a passage that leads to the Source. This little jewel is peaceful, private, and offers an expansive view of rolling hills that drop off to the powerful ocean. The Bamboo Temple offers incredible views of the ocean and the famous Hana coastline, which you can enjoy with your morning coffee or tea. A perfect choice for a longer stay, you can create a relaxing work-from-home environment with our fast fiber-optic internet. If you are highly sensitive and would prefer an electromagnetic field free of wifi, you can turn the internet off at your discretion.

This incredibly picturesque shelter features a queen-sized bed, full kitchen, walk-in closet, and a very private outdoor shower with an ocean view. Lying in the bamboo poster bed, you will wake with the rising sun and revel in the most spectacular rainbows. At night, enjoy views of the stars and the Milky Way galaxy as you lay in bed peering up through our prism-shaped skylight. Our walls are decorated with hand-painted silk thankas and a small altar with sacred art that invites you to sit and contemplate. Our hiking trails are safe and allow you to explore our amazing natural surroundings, and the vastness of our land allows you to be free. Bamboo Temple has been a special place for many artists and spiritual teachers to surrender to the universal flow of creativity. For example, our dear friend Alex Grey stayed here with his wife, Allyson Grey, and painted ‘Lovers’ in this temple.

The Secret of the North Shore is the Trade Winds that keep this space at a comfortable temperature all the time. We are also blessed with early morning rains that not only keep our gardens lush, but also cleanse and wash away the past. Staying in our Bamboo Temple is an elegant and memorable experience that will keep your Hawaii vacation forever etched in your heart. What are you waiting for?

If you are looking to go off the grid for a few days and still be close enough to civilization, this is the place. We had a wonderful time and found this space to be relaxing and private with outstanding views. There is plenty to explore on the property. Great place to check out from your busy life and reconnect with yourself or your partner.

We had a great time at the bamboo temple! We spent the first half of our honeymoon here. It was nice being so remote with a beautiful view. William works at the property and he did a great job showing us all there was to do on the property! We did the ocean trail which was a great experience and enjoyed the music temple and visiting with the chickens. The break from cell service was a nice change (although the main house has extremely fast WiFi service when you need it). The outdoor shower was fantastic and you can’t beat the views! You are on the road to Hana and very close to Twin falls. We enjoyed the nearby town Paia and had some fabulous fish and chips and ice cream over there.
